Phantom Wedding is a book I would like to recommend， but can't。 It was a masterpiece when it kicked off， I could read the first 56 pages over and over again。 Iris Mills is a New Yorker on vacation in Florida， she's sitting in a deserted bar one late evening， rain is pouring down outside。 Iris has a couple drinks and requests a few songs from the piano player。 In walks Nick Gregor， he's dripping wet， but spots Iris and quickly strikes up a conversation with her。 They talk， share drinks， and reque Phantom Wedding is a book I would like to recommend， but can't。 It was a masterpiece when it kicked off， I could read the first 56 pages over and over again。 Iris Mills is a New Yorker on vacation in Florida， she's sitting in a deserted bar one late evening， rain is pouring down outside。 Iris has a couple drinks and requests a few songs from the piano player。 In walks Nick Gregor， he's dripping wet， but spots Iris and quickly strikes up a conversation with her。 They talk， share drinks， and request more songs。Iris and Nick end up having a whirlwind romance; a very short whirlwind。 Nick asks her to marry him， but requires that she tells no one about their plans。 Iris is reluctant， but respects his wishes。 The two arrive at an ancient chapel for the ceremony， and the most mysterious and creepy story plays out。If only things could have stayed that way， if only the story hadn't dissolved into clichéd nonsense。 The book is still good， but nowhere near what it could have been。 。。。more
